Somewhere underneath all of this, your marriage still matters to you.

Maybe you love your spouse deeply.

Or maybe lately the love is harder to feel underneath the frustration, disappointment, or distance.

Maybe what you know for sure is:

I want this marriage to work. I just don't want it to keep feeling like this.
  • You want to be able to talk without everything becoming so hard.
  • You want to feel understood without having to explain yourself five different ways.
  • You want to trust each other.
  • You want to enjoy being together again.
  • You want to feel like you are on the same side.

And yet, despite all the effort, you keep finding yourselves back in conversations and situations you thought you had already worked through.

That is where understanding what is happening between you becomes so important.

Most couples already know a lot about what they are supposed to do.

  • Listen.
  • Stay calm.
  • Communicate clearly.
  • Do not criticize.
  • Forgive.
  • Be patient.
  • Give your spouse the benefit of the doubt.

All of that can be good advice.

But knowing what healthy communication looks like and being able to do it when something important is happening between you are two very different things.

Because in those moments, you are not responding only to words.

You are responding to what those words mean to you.

To whether you feel heard.

To whether you matter.

To whether you can trust what is happening.

To whether you believe your spouse understands you.

To fears, expectations, old hurts, and ways of protecting yourselves that may have developed long before either of you understood what was happening.

And one reaction can trigger another.

Before long, two people who genuinely want a good marriage can create a pattern neither one of them actually wants.

This is why trying harder is not always enough.

You need to be able to see what is happening.

And once you can see it, you have a much better chance of changing what happens next.

What if being married could feel good again?

Not perfect.Not conflict free.But easier.Warmer.More connected.
  • Imagine bringing something up without preparing yourself for an exhausting conversation.
  • Imagine not needing to convince your spouse that what matters to you should matter to them.
  • Imagine disagreeing and still feeling like you are on the same side.
  • Imagine resolving something and actually feeling closer afterward instead of simply being relieved the argument is over.
  • Imagine laughing more.
  • Touching more.
  • Enjoying each other more.
  • Talking about your future instead of spending so much energy revisiting what went wrong.
  • Feeling like partners again.

That is the marriage people are trying to get back to when they say, “I just want us to feel like us again.”

I’m already preparing for our four nights together.

I want The Marriage Shift to help you do more than collect another set of marriage tips.

I’m preparing these four evenings to help you see what keeps happening between you, understand what may be underneath it, and begin recognizing where a different response can create a different outcome.

Here’s what we’ll work through together...

Four evenings. Four important shifts.

Each night builds on the one before it, so by the end of our four days together you will have a clearer picture of what is happening in your marriage and what can begin changing.

DAY 1

Tearing Down the Walls

Tuesday, September 8

Understand why conversations keep going wrong, even when you mean well, and what you can begin doing differently.

Why does a conversation that starts reasonably sometimes end somewhere neither of you intended?

On our first night, we will slow the process down and look at what happens between couples when tension begins.

You will start recognizing the predictable reactions that can create distance, even when both people have good intentions.

You will begin seeing:

  • How the same frustrating conversations tend to unfold
  • What happens when emotions rise
  • Why the cycle itself can become more damaging than the original disagreement
  • And where you may have opportunities to respond differently

When you can recognize the pattern, you no longer have to be completely controlled by it.

DAY 2

Rebuilding Trust From the Ground Up

Wednesday, September 9

Trust is built through what happens between you again and again.

Trust is not only about whether someone tells the truth.

It is also the experience of knowing:

  • My spouse cares about what happens to me.
  • I can bring something important into this relationship.
  • We can work through difficult things.
  • My spouse's words and actions are becoming more dependable.

If trust has been strained, it is rarely rebuilt through one big conversation.

It grows through repeated experiences of honesty, responsiveness, consistency, meaningful repair, and care.

On Day 2, we will look at what actually helps trust grow and some of the patterns that quietly keep interfering with it.

You will begin identifying what helps your marriage feel more secure and what may still need to be rebuilt.

DAY 3

Unlocking the Power of Meaningful Communication

Thursday, September 10

Stop trying only to make your point. Learn how to create understanding.

Many couples are communicating constantly.

That does not mean they feel understood.

You may be explaining your position clearly and still walk away thinking:

You still do not get what I am trying to tell you.

On Day 3, we will look beyond communication formulas and begin working with what makes real understanding more possible.

  • How do you listen when you disagree?
  • How do you communicate what matters without making persuasion the entire goal?
  • How do you hear what is underneath your spouse's words?
  • And how do you stay connected to the relationship while talking about something difficult?

Better communication is not simply getting the words right. It is creating a better experience of being heard and understood.

DAY 4

Intimacy That Goes Beyond the Surface

Friday, September 11

Move beyond managing life together and begin creating closeness again.

A marriage can function very efficiently and still feel lonely.

  • Bills get paid.
  • Children get cared for.
  • Schedules get managed.
  • Life moves forward.

But somewhere in all of that, the friendship, warmth, affection, curiosity, or sense of being chosen can become harder to find.

On our final evening, we will look at emotional intimacy and the experiences that help couples begin moving toward each other again.

Because closeness is not only about romance.

  • It is about knowing your spouse.
  • Being known.
  • Feeling enjoyed.
  • Feeling considered.
  • Sharing affection.
  • Being able to turn toward each other.

You will leave with a clearer understanding of what helps connection grow and how to begin creating more of it in everyday life.

After 47 years of marriage, she could hardly stand being in the same room with him.

They were committed to staying married.

But they had stopped believing they could actually feel close again.

So much of their attention had become consumed by the conflict between them.

After 47 years together, it would have been easy to decide:

Maybe this is simply what our marriage is now.

But as we worked together, they began seeing what was happening beneath those conflicts.

They understood more about the patterns they had developed.

They began responding to each other differently.

And their experience of the marriage began to change.

By the time we finished working together,

They were giddy.

They were snuggling together on the couch.

And instead of being preoccupied with what was wrong between them, they were talking about something entirely different.

How they wanted to speak life and legacy into their children.

Same marriage.

Same two people.

A very different experience of one another.

Years of repeating a pattern do not mean that pattern has to write the rest of your story.

The Marriage Shift is for the couple who still believes there is something worth building.

  • Maybe you are deeply committed to your marriage.
  • Maybe one of you is working harder on it right now than the other.
  • Maybe you have loved each other for years but have developed ways of interacting that neither of you quite knows how to undo.
  • Maybe trust needs strengthening or rebuilding.
  • Maybe you have made progress in some areas, but the marriage itself still needs healing and reconnection.
  • Maybe you are simply tired of having so much of your relationship consumed by things you cannot seem to resolve.

You are not looking for someone to tell you to leave.

You are not looking for someone to tell you everything is fine.

You want to know what can actually help.

That is who I created this for.

By the end of these four evenings, you will begin seeing your marriage differently.

You will learn how to:

  • Understand why the same kinds of conversations keep going sideways, even when you mean for this time to be different
  • Understand more of what is happening beneath your reactions
  • Identify what helps difficult conversations feel more productive
  • Create greater emotional safety and responsiveness
  • Recognize the experiences that build or weaken trust
  • Repair difficult moments instead of simply moving past them
  • Communicate in ways that make understanding more possible
  • Create more room for warmth, friendship, affection, and connection

This is not about giving you a perfect marriage formula.

It is about helping you understand your marriage well enough to begin making different choices inside it.

Real couples. Real change.

Your marriage does not have to look exactly like someone else's for their story to give you hope.

The details will be different.

But learning to recognize unhealthy patterns, rebuild trust, understand one another better, and create a more connected relationship can matter in almost every marriage.

Why am I giving this away?

Because too many couples wait until things get much worse before they get help.

I do not want cost to be the reason you keep waiting.

I made The Marriage Shift free on purpose.

Private work with me

$4,997 to $12,000

Depending on the level and length of support, couples invest $4,997 to $12,000 to work with me privately.

The Marriage Shift is not private coaching.

Four live masterclasses are not the same thing as having me work directly with you and your spouse over a period of months.

But many of the ideas I use to help couples understand what is happening in their marriage are exactly what I want to begin teaching you here.

And I want something from you too.

Not money.

An intentional decision to show up.

Because I have seen what happens when people register and then drift.

  • People mean to attend.
  • Life gets busy.
  • The email gets buried.
  • Tomorrow becomes next week.
  • And the thing they hoped would change gets pushed aside again.

Registering is not really the point.

Putting something behind your yes is.

Our marriage is worth four evenings of my attention.

Those are the couples I want to pour into during The Marriage Shift.

Join me for all four evenings, free.

Maybe you have tried before.

Maybe you have already had the conversations.

Maybe you have promised each other things would be different.

Maybe you have read marriage books.

Listened to podcasts.

Gone to counseling.

Worked hard on yourself.

And there are areas where those things have helped.

But something between you still seems to return to the same place.

That does not necessarily mean nothing worked.

It may mean you have another layer to understand.

  • Sometimes couples learn communication skills before they understand the emotional pattern underneath the communication.
  • Sometimes they work hard to resolve the current conflict without recognizing what repeatedly recreates it.
  • Sometimes one spouse has done a lot of work, but the two of you still do not know how to create a different experience together.

The goal of The Marriage Shift is not to dismiss what you have already tried.

It is to help you see something you may not have been able to see before.

And no, your spouse does not have to be equally motivated for you to come.

Of course I would love to have both of you there.

One free registration includes both spouses.

But if you are the one reading this because you are the one currently looking for answers, you are welcome.

  • You can learn.
  • You can become more aware of your own part in the pattern.
  • You can begin responding differently.
  • You can bring healthier skills into your marriage without trying to force your spouse to change first.

Come because your marriage matters to you.

Meet Anne Nelson

Founder of Fully Thriving

For nearly two decades, I have helped couples understand what drives conflict, distance, broken trust, and disconnection so they can begin building healthier, more connected marriages.

My approach integrates Christian faith, psychology, relationship science, and practical tools couples can use when real life gets complicated.

I do not believe most marriages improve because somebody finally wins the argument.

And I do not believe couples need more reasons to blame each other.

I want to help you become curious about what is actually happening between you.

Not only:

What did we fight about?

But:

  • What happened between us?
  • What did I hear or assume in that moment?
  • What happened inside my spouse?
  • What did each of us do next?
  • And what could we begin doing differently?

That kind of understanding can change the way you approach an entire relationship.

That is what I want to begin helping you discover during The Marriage Shift.

I would be honored to have you join me.
